Our client - a part of a large renowned group is looking for a Regional General Manager (reporting directly to Managing Director). The company is primarily into producing Soap, detergents & Palm Oil business . The location of this position will be based in Cairo - Egypt & will oversee other countries in the Africa region as well.

Primary job responsibilities include:

• Oversee a company’s operations, have budgeting responsibilities and are involved in hiring and evaluating company personnel.
• Guide & steer the strategic direction of the company. Responsible for overall financial structure.
• Achieve a record of sales, production and a net profit in line with business plan. Reviews operating results of the division, compares them to established objectives and ensures appropriate measures are taken to corrective measurements.
• Advises, guides, directs and authorizes personnel to carry out major plans and procedures consistent with established policies and corporate approval.
• Directing and coordinating the promotion of products manufactured or services performed to develop new markets, increase market share and obtain competitive position in the industry.
• Perform direction of safety, quality and productivity in the division and recommends changes where desirable. Manage workplace inspections and monitors compliance with all Health and Safety. Establish safety goals and objectives; review of safety statistics and loss runs; lead formal management safety committee.
• Create and utilize metrics, dashboards and tools to support warehouse operations and administration in meeting and exceeding productivity, accuracy and service level goals
• Partner with Human Resources and staffing agencies to recruit and develop team members from entry level to all leadership and subject matter expert positions. In liaison with the Human Resource Department; appraise performance of subordinates
• Developing manufacturing and operational strategic plans and generally overseeing their implementation to ensure maximum capacity utilisation of the manufacturing units towards achieving the group’s strategy, growth and profit objectives.
